The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all information systems products and services meet the minimum organizational standards and end-user requirements. This position requires effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and innovative, thriving in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the QA Analyst will be responsible for the development of the project Software Quality Assurance Plan and the implementation of procedures that conform to the requirements of the contract. Under general supervision, the QA Analyst will carry out procedures to ensure that all software is thoroughly tested to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. The candidate will document and work to resolve all problems, reporting progress on problem resolution to management. Additionally, the QA Analyst will devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations, performing workflow analysis and recommending quality improvements as necessary. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $80,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, training, and professional development assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the project Software Quality Assurance Plan and implement procedures that conform to contract requirements.
  • Carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organizational standards and end-user requirements.
  • Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
  • Document and work to resolve all problems encountered during testing.
  • Report progress on problem resolution to management.
  • Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.
  • Perform workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Project Management Professional, Electronics, Software Sciences, or a relevant field.
  • Six Sigma Certification.
  • 5 years of experience with Army IT and a valid Secret Clearance.
  • 5 years of experience in testing software and reporting progress on problem resolution to management.
  • 1 year of experience in the development of project Software Quality Assurance Plan.
