About the position

The QA Analyst at Carter BloodCare is responsible for evaluating business and compliance risks associated with software programs and systems modifications. This role involves developing technical documentation, acting as a liaison between users and software engineers, and performing quality assurance oversight during the software development lifecycle. The QA Analyst will also lead project implementations and ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business and compliance risks related to computer programs and software development.
  • Develop technical documentation to describe business functional requirements and validation test plans.
  • Act as a liaison between users and software engineers, providing quality assurance oversight.
  • Perform structural and functional testing of new or revised applications.
  • Lead the implementation of internal or external projects with management oversight.
  • Follow quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and internal guides to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • College Degree or MLT/MLS/SBB (ASCP) certification or more than 5 years of equivalent quality assurance experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in analysis, validation, verification, testing, and technical documentation writing.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, blood bank, or regulated industry.
  • Experience in project implementation (small to medium in size).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of QA functions including compliance, policies, and project management.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to provide instruction to users for corrective action.
