About the position

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst role is focused on ensuring the quality and security of software releases for a leading company in endpoint protection technologies. The position involves developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high product quality. The QA Analyst will also automate testing processes and ensure compliance with security standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute test plans and cases for software releases.
• Identify, track, and report software defects.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Automate test cases where applicable and maintain automated testing suites.
• Ensure that security standards are met in every stage of the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high levels of product quality and security.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Experience testing in Linux and MacOS, with Windows OS familiarity.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Experience creating virtual machines in Hyper-V in both Windows and Linux machines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

• ISTQB Certification
• Experience in cybersecurity or endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Selenium, or other testing frameworks.
• Certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CYSA+ are a plus.
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
