The QA Associate/Analyst 3 position at LMG Technology Services LLC is a critical role focused on ensuring the quality and functionality of web-based applications. This hybrid position is based in Austin, TX, and requires candidates to have a strong background in testing various aspects of applications, including user interface, database, batch processes, and web services. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating test scenarios, creating detailed test cases, and performing manual application testing within a complex software environment. This role demands a collaborative approach, as the QA Associate/Analyst will work closely with a diverse team to exchange and extract information necessary for effective testing. In addition to manual testing, the position involves developing, maintaining, and upgrading test cases using HP ALM, as well as creating and managing defects within the same tool. Candidates should be proficient in using Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting. The role also requires setting up test data using SQL and PL/SQL, as well as testing data conversions and web services. Familiarity with browser testing tools and SharePoint is preferred, along with experience in test automation tools such as Selenium and LoadRunner. Accessibility testing knowledge, particularly with tools like JAWS, is also beneficial. The position may require occasional physical attendance at meetings in Austin, TX, with minimal notice, and relocation to Texas is necessary for applicants not currently residing in the state.

Responsibilities

  • Test all aspects of web-based applications including UI, database, batch processes, and web services.
  • Formulate test scenarios and create detailed test cases for manual application testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade test cases using HP ALM.
  • Create and maintain defects using HP ALM.
  • Set up test data using SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Test data conversions and web services using various toolsets.
  • Collaborate with team members and interact with diverse staff to exchange information.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience testing all aspects of web-based applications.
  • 8 years of experience in formulating test scenarios and creating detailed test cases.
  • 5 years of experience working in a team environment.
  • 5 years of experience developing, maintaining, and upgrading test cases using HP ALM.
  • 5 years of experience creating and maintaining defects using HP ALM.
  • 5 years of experience with MS Office products (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • 5 years of experience setting up test data using SQL and PL/SQL.
  • 2 years of experience testing data conversions.
  • 1 year of experience testing web services and batch processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of working knowledge of browser testing tools.
  • 3 years of working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • 1 year of working knowledge of Test Automation (Selenium, LoadRunner, Accessibility testing).
  • 1 year of experience testing Salesforce applications.
  • 1 year of working knowledge of accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, Wave, CCA.
