About the position

The QA Automation Engineer at Innova Solutions is responsible for enhancing the automation roadmap within the New Business QA team. This role involves collaborating with other QA engineers and testers to optimize testing processes and improve software quality across the organization. The engineer will ensure adherence to QA standards and guidelines while monitoring team performance and delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise to the automation test team in the design, development, and maintenance of the automation framework.
• Taking complete ownership for preparing test automation scripts in accordance with standards and guidelines.
• Creating test estimates and defining/building reusable testing assets for large complex projects.
• Developing and implementing enhancements to test automation frameworks.
• Providing technical leadership and supporting the creation of complex tests.
• Advising customers on innovative testing products and solutions.
• Implementing UI and API level test automation expertise.
• Supporting automation script development and optimizing those scripts.
• Recommending new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
• Collaborating with product/business teams to strategize and align long-term solutions for test automation.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and experience in automating applications in Cloud, Distributed, Mainframe, and highly integrated complex environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python.
• Expertise in automation frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, and Selenium.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium/WebDriver, UI Path, Cucumber, and BDD/TDD frameworks.
• Good knowledge of databases including Oracle, Postgres, and SQL queries.
• Experience with web service technologies like XML, REST, and SOAP.
• Experience in building/developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing test frameworks and test cases using open source and in-house test frameworks.

Nice-to-haves
