About the position

The QA Automation Engineer for Apple Neural Engine will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality machine learning solutions across Apple products. This role involves testing firmware and drivers, developing automation frameworks, and collaborating with software development teams to implement effective test plans. The engineer will work in a dynamic environment, focusing on functionality, performance, power, and stability testing of the Apple Neural Engine.

Responsibilities

• Craft test cases and implement test plans related to functionality, performance, power, and stability of the Apple Neural Engine.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and create new automation test cases.
• Document test plans, procedures, and results clearly and assess the quality of releases.
• Utilize continuous integration environments/tools and CI standard methodologies to improve test coverage.
• Collaborate with development teams and multi-functional QA teams to triage, diagnose, debug issues, and derive root-cause.
• Influence the team positively on testability and bug prevention strategies.

Requirements

• BS degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience in test automation and tool development.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with crafting system and feature level test plans and test cases.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle, testing methodologies, and processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Objective-C/Swift, XCTest, and Xcode IDE.
• Familiarity with Jenkins.
