About the position

The Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer position is focused on ensuring the quality of software through both automated and manual testing. The role involves working within a QA Scrum team to test various applications, including data warehousing and mobile applications. The position requires a strong background in quality assurance practices and the ability to adapt to different development teams as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated and manual test cases.
• Manage defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand testing requirements.
• Participate in Agile and Waterfall SDLC processes.
• Conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, and performance testing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT with a focus on Quality Assurance.
• Proven ability in writing test cases and managing defects.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Waterfall SDLC.
• Solid experience in test-driven development and various testing types.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as JMeter, Selenium, and HP Quality Center.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical and business objectives.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with coding in JAVA, HTML5, DB2, XML, and Mainframe Cobol.
• Knowledge of web security and encryption technology.
• Test certifications such as QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, or ISTQB.
• Experience in payments technology and industry.
• Call center experience.
