About the position

The QA Automation Engineer - II position is focused on ensuring quality assurance in a fast-paced Agile environment. The role involves leading testing efforts across multiple projects, coordinating with various teams to deliver technical test automation deliverables for sprint delivery and Agile iterations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scoping, designing, implementing, and maintaining both automated and manual test scripts for application project testing and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing efforts across multiple projects in an Agile environment.
• Coordinate with User Acceptance Teams, external stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver test automation deliverables.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test scripts for application testing and regression testing.
• Test user interfaces, web applications, and web services to identify software problems and their causes.
• Maintain non-production environments and troubleshoot environmental issues.
• Work closely with the DBA team for data refresh and test data setup for multiple non-production environments.
• Ensure testing for each sprint is complete and required signoff is acquired per timelines.
• Manage escalations with developers regarding code defects, fix priority, and ticket closure.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with automation tools for QA such as Selenium, SOAPUI/Postman, and qTEST.
• 4+ years of functional testing experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Oracle and writing SQL queries.
• Exposure to Unix/Linux and scripting tools.
• Strong debugging skills and understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life-cycle.

Nice-to-haves

• Functional knowledge regarding order provisioning and billing as it relates to Telecom.
• Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Experience with open-source tools and cloud environments.
