About the position

The QA Automation Engineer will lead quality assurance efforts specializing in API Testing and Automation at NBC's Englewood, NJ location. This hybrid role requires three days of on-site work and focuses on delivering high-quality software testing solutions for web applications and APIs, ensuring stability and reliability through effective testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA efforts in web application and API projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners and engineering.
• Conduct manual API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger.
• Validate API endpoints, payloads, and responses for stability and reliability.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and REST Assured.
• Ensure test automation aligns with Agile methodologies and in-sprint automation.
• Troubleshoot and debug test failures using GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins.

Requirements

• Proven experience in API testing and Automation (Web + API).
• Strong knowledge of tools like Swagger, Postman, and Selenium.
• Hands-on experience with Java, TestNG, and REST Assured.
• Experience with API automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins.
