About the position

The Automation Engineer role focuses on software integration testing and test automation, ensuring high-quality software delivery through effective testing strategies. The position involves analyzing test failures, designing and automating new tests, and escalating key quality issues to drive resolution. Regular collaboration with geographically dispersed teams is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct software integration testing and test automation.
• Analyze test failures to identify root causes.
• Design and automate new tests to enhance testing efficiency.
• Escalate and report key quality issues, driving them to resolution.
• Interact regularly with teams located in different geographical regions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional work experience as a Software Development Engineer or Software Quality Engineer.
• Experience with programming in Swift, Python, Java, or other programming languages.
• Experience in test planning, test design, test authoring, and execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to write shell scripts and familiarity with XCode.
• Experience in building or modifying existing iOS application code.
• Test automation experience, particularly with XCTest.
• Familiarity with Apple OS platforms and debugging or profiling tools.
• Proven ability to analyze and find root causes in multi-tiered, client-server environments.
• Experience testing server backend services at the API or protocol level.
• Working understanding of different test types and their purposes (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Familiarity with logging and analytics concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Curiosity and proactivity in learning and exploring new technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Previous experience working with Virtual Assistants.
