About the position

The QA Automation Engineer role at M3BI involves designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks primarily using Cypress and JavaScript. This position requires extensive experience in automation testing, particularly in a BDD environment, and is focused on ensuring the quality and performance of web applications. The role is based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a hybrid work model of three days in the office and two days working from home.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using JavaScript.
• Conduct automation testing using BDD (Cucumber) and Gherkin.
• Perform cross-browser testing and ensure compatibility across different platforms.
• Utilize tools such as Selenium or Playwright for test automation.
• Analyze bugs and document test plans effectively.
• Conduct manual, responsive web, and mobile screen testing for web applications.
• Test APIs and GraphQL calls for functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in QA automation testing.
• Strong experience with Cypress and JavaScript.
• Experience in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with BDD methodologies and tools like Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Experience with cross-browser testing tools.
• Knowledge of API testing and web performance testing.
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, or SAFe.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Playwright as an alternative to Selenium.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing standards.
