About the position

Elite Technical is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with specialized experience in Salesforce Testing, Conversational AI/IVR Testing, API Testing, and the Healthcare Payor industry. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting deep technical analysis and testing of releases, ensuring thorough validation and verification of the entire application. This role requires a proactive approach to understanding business requirements and collaborating with systems analysts and developers to fully test application changes. The QA Automation Engineer will need to comprehend the functional specifications and scope of releases to design robust testing harnesses that guarantee quality delivery. A significant part of the role involves writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval from a multi-database environment, with a strong emphasis on Oracle databases. The Senior Salesforce QA Engineer will leverage expert systems analysis and design techniques to navigate complex enterprise systems, possessing a broad knowledge of data sources, system interactions, and the capabilities and limitations of software and computer equipment. Collaboration is key in this position, as the engineer will work closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand product specifics and create corresponding test strategies. The role encompasses executing manual testing on both frontend (UI) and backend (API) systems, as well as developing and maintaining testing suites for a large-scale Salesforce environment. Although primarily remote, candidates should be local to the Metro Washington DC area for 1-2 onsite meetings per month.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Business Requirements reviews and collaborate with systems analysts/developers to fully test application changes.
• Understand the functional specification and scope of releases to design robust testing harnesses to ensure quality delivery.
• Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval from a multi-database environment, with strong knowledge of Oracle database required.
• Apply expert systems analysis and design techniques to complex enterprise systems.
• Possess a broad knowledge of data sources/flow, interactions of complex systems, and capabilities/limitations of systems software and computer equipment.
• Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand product specifics and create corresponding test strategies.
• Execute manual testing on frontend (UI) and backend (API) systems.
• Develop and maintain testing suites for a large-scale Salesforce environment.
• Conduct front-end and back-end testing for applications based on the Salesforce platform.

Requirements

• IT Bachelor's Degree required.
• Detailed knowledge of Healthcare Payor experience and CRM applications in the Service/Operational space.
• 5+ years of relevant testing experience with a strong background in Software QA, including 3+ years of experience with Salesforce.
• 4+ years of relational database experience, including generating complex queries, setting up database connections, and automating query processing.
• 2+ years of experience in API testing and IVR/Conversational API testing, with NLP experience also required.
• 3+ years of experience with BDD/Selenium and any automation tools.
• Strong SQL querying abilities are a must.
• Azure or AWS Cloud experience is considered a big plus.
• Experience using and sharing knowledge of Agile team collaboration and requirements management tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.
• Any Salesforce certification would be a plus.

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS is a significant advantage.
