About the position

The QA Automation Engineer at Synechron is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of data warehousing and business intelligence solutions. This role involves testing complex data scenarios, performing validations on data mappings, and utilizing various testing tools and methodologies to maximize test coverage. The position requires a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and the ability to analyze and profile data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Work on Data Warehousing/Data Lake projects and test complex data scenarios.
  • Analyze data scenarios to maximize test coverage.
  • Perform validations on end-to-end mapping between Source, Staging layer, and Target.
  • Understand the behavior of complex data warehousing and business intelligence solutions for testing.

Requirements

  • Experience in API testing across tools (Soap API & Postman).
  • Hands-on experience in SQL and understanding of Stored Procedures is mandatory.
  • Preferable experience with Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Java/Python is an added advantage.
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data and processing large datasets.
  • Experience with volume and load testing.
  • Familiarity with JIRA is a nice to have.
  • Good understanding of the frameworks worked on.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on automation experience or experience in any automation tools.
  • UNIX experience would be nice to have.
