About the position

As an experienced Project Delivery Senior Analyst - Quality Automation Engineer at Deloitte, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in the Healthcare Industry. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and thrive in collaborative environments. You will be responsible for providing services to clients by enhancing their medical benefits management applications, specifically focusing on the Lab App system that was recently acquired. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using various automation tools and frameworks. You will ensure that these automated tests are seamlessly integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, which is essential for maintaining high software quality standards. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements, which will enable you to create comprehensive test plans. You will be tasked with developing and documenting test strategies, test plans, and test cases that align with the project goals. Executing automated test scripts and analyzing the results to identify defects will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will reporting and tracking these defects. You will work closely with development teams to resolve any issues that arise, ensuring that the software meets the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will continuously seek to improve automation processes and practices to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. The Application Modernization & Innovation (AMI) team at Deloitte is dedicated to leveraging innovative technology and delivery approaches to help clients optimize their core business operations. As part of this team, you will contribute to end-to-end technology solutions that drive significant improvements for our clients. The AMI practice encompasses three main areas: Service Delivery & Business Design, Application Modernization & Migration, and Quality Engineering. Your expertise in quality automation will be instrumental in delivering these solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using various automation tools and frameworks.
  • Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
  • Develop and document test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  • Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
  • Report and track defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve the automation processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as QA Analyst.
  • 5+ years of experience in all aspects of functional testing across a broad set of technologies, including cloud technology, container-based microservices for sub-UI testing, RESTful service testing, thin-client testing (html/Angular), database testing, virtual service stub testing, and more.
  • Expert knowledge in Test Plan and Test Case development.
  • Deep knowledge of user story to test case translation with methods like Gherkin/Cucumber or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with IBM Rational Integration Tester, Soap UI, Postman for API Automation.
  • Experience with MQ Series ETL, DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server validations.
  • Familiarity with HP Load Runner, MS Visual Studio for Performance Testing Automation.
  • Familiarity with common test automation tools including but not limited to: Selenium, Appium, UFT, Rest Assured, Maven, Jenkins, Git, etc.
  • Familiarity with programming languages for test automation tasks: Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL.
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
