About the position

Evolent Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. The role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, bug-free code by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing features.
• Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure the quality of the codebase.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
• Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system.
• Work closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality and testability.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of the product.
• Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 or more years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle as well as testing and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience with bug tracking systems and version control systems.
• Experience as a proactive problem-solver.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is preferred.
• Experience in specific technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Typescript, Postman, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, and SQL is preferred.
• Experience with performance and security testing is preferred.
