About the position

The QA Automation Engineer at the American Red Cross is responsible for ensuring quality releases of software to internal customers. This role involves establishing test automation best practices, configuring automated test infrastructure, and maintaining a library of test automation for Salesforce instances. The engineer will work closely with a dedicated team to deliver stable, tested code during monthly release windows, ensuring all bug fixes are validated and environments are stable. The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates who can work East Coast hours and are available for extended hours during major outages.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts and test methodologies to ensure compliance with system specifications.
• Perform in-depth investigations into data quality issues and suggest solutions to improve data quality.
• Work closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases.
• Verify and validate defect fixes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), API Testing, Accessibility testing, and Mobile application testing.
• Document test results, analysis reports, logs, and metrics.
• Develop and execute manual and automation test scripts.
• Identify opportunities for effective automation implementation.

Requirements

• 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years overall work experience required.
• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with test automation using Provar, Selenium-Java, Tricentis Tosca, or Copado Robotic testing required.
• Experience with Jira, Agile, Scrum required.
• Ability to work extended hours/on call support as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with both Salesforce automation & manual testing is a plus.
• Salesforce certification for Admin & Service cloud is preferred.
