About the position

As a QA Automation Engineer at Lytx, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our industry-leading Fleet Tracking Software. This position involves developing and executing cloud-based non-functional and functional testing strategies to validate the performance, load, and stress capabilities of our products. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including DevOps, Automation, and R&D, to enhance product quality and contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design cloud-based non-functional and functional testing strategies.
  • Work directly with DevOps, Automation, R&D, QA, and product teams.
  • Collaborate with a global automation scrum team following Agile methodologies.
  • Define tests that require automation for validation.
  • Review and analyze requirements specifications and technical design documents, providing timely feedback as part of the test plan definition process.
  • Collaborate as part of a worldwide QA team based in India, the US, and Israel.

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud-based non-functional and functional testing using TypeScript, JavaScript, or any other object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience in creating and executing test strategies and plans for Load, Performance, Stress, and other non-functional testing.
  • Proficiency with load and performance testing tools.
  • Experience with the Playwright testing framework is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Jenkinsfiles, containers, Docker, and CI/CD environments.
  • Familiarity with Bitbucket, Git, and JIRA.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design practices and patterns.
  • Experience with NewRelic and SQL is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud architecture is a significant advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Playwright testing framework.
  • Experience with NewRelic and SQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud architecture.
