About the position

The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Digital Turbine will be part of a dedicated team responsible for shipping high-scale and high-availability services, SDKs, and features that impact millions of users daily. The role involves owning features end-to-end, developing test metrics, researching new testing approaches, and collaborating closely with Development and Product Management to create a comprehensive test strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end and develop accurate test metrics to determine coverage and test effectiveness.
• Research and implement new test approaches to improve testing processes.
• Collaborate with Development and Product Management to understand features and implementation details.
• Develop a comprehensive test strategy based on feature usage models.
• Actively share knowledge across the team on various projects.

Requirements

• Experience in Appium for mobile app automation.
• Experience in testing features and shipping products as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Android using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with a bug management system (e.g., JIRA).
• Strong and creative testing aptitude.
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
• Familiarity with consuming web services and using RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, or JSON in a testing or development capacity.
• Familiarity with Agile software practices.
• Previous experience in software quality assurance, including mobile application testing using Android/Kotlin.
• Experience with web-based test tools like Selenium/Cypress/Playwright and API testing is a plus.
• Previous ad tech experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
