About the position

The Senior Specialist - Quality Engineering at LTIMindtree is responsible for developing and executing API test cases and scenarios, ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with development teams, identifying and tracking bugs, performing regression testing, and staying updated with new testing tools and strategies. The position also includes assisting in project planning and developing software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute API test cases and scenarios
• Work closely with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs to resolution
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Assist in project planning to identify potential issues
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Ensure that all tests are executed and provide regular feedback to the team lead on the status of quality

Requirements

• Proven work experience as an API Tester or similar role in software development
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills to effectively report findings and recommendations
