About the position

The QA Automation Test Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting a Fortune 500 manufacturing client by collaborating with the Application Development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This position involves automating test scenarios for new development projects, tracking defects, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently. The role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to deliver quality products throughout the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Software Development teams and Product Owners to understand requirements and automate test scenarios.
• Log, communicate, prioritize, and track defects and issues appropriately.
• Recommend corrective actions for identified defects and issues.
• Work with development teams and Database Administrators to identify system deficiencies and escalate issues for timely resolution.
• Conduct thorough testing throughout all phases of the development life cycle, including Regression, Functional, Integration, and End to End testing.
• Define, organize, plan, and execute projects from vision through implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience and technical training.
• 5+ years of experience in QA automation testing.
• Experience using TOSCA to automate test cases.
• Solid understanding of SCRUM and development processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly.
• Expertise in designing, writing, and automating test cases.
