About the position

Western Alliance Bank is looking for a passionate and results-driven QA/Automation Tester to deliver innovative testing and automated solutions for Corporate Trust applications. The role requires a creative and motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced, agile environment, analyzing application functionality and designing automated tests to validate performance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the functionality of applications and design automated tests to validate their performance.
• Identify bugs and collaborate with the engineering team.
• Meet with the software design team to discuss baseline and functional changes.
• Identify software application weaknesses and target areas for improvement.
• Sketch out ideas for automated software test procedures.
• Review software bug reports and highlight problem areas.
• Participate in sprint design and demo practices.
• Write automation scripts and implement software applications.
• Design and install software databases.
• Troubleshoot automation software and finalize system procedures.
• Identify quality issues and create test reports.
• Collaborate with the design team to solve application faults.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
• 3+ years working as a QA automation engineer.
• Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
• Familiarity with programming script languages including Java and VBScript.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good project management skills.
