About the position

The position involves serving as a Servicenow Business Analyst for the upgrade of a Servicenow ticketing system for the GSA, focusing on quality assurance testing within the ServiceNow platform. The role requires a strong understanding of various ServiceNow modules and the ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts, ensuring the successful migration of legacy systems onto a new Common Services Platform (CSP).

Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis for the upgrade of the Servicenow ticketing system.
• Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for QA testing.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, SOAP, and REST.
• Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG for testing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Track and manage defects using tools like Jira or ALM.
• Provide analytical support to troubleshoot complex issues during testing.

Requirements

• ServiceNow Certification (Certified Implementation Specialist or equivalent).
• 5-8 years of proven experience in QA testing with a focus on the ServiceNow platform and integrations.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or others.
• Solid experience in developing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, SOAP, REST).
• Proficiency with testing tools like Jira, ALM, or similar for defect tracking and management.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in a Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
