About the position
The QA Automation Tester role involves developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of software applications. The position requires a strong understanding of automation testing frameworks and tools, particularly in Java and Selenium, to analyze business requirements and implement effective test strategies. The tester will work closely with development teams and clients to identify and resolve issues, ensuring a smooth testing process and high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing business requirements to determine the test strategy covered by automation testing.
- Setting up Selenium test environments and integrating with Maven, TestNG, and Jenkins.
- Inspecting elements and creating test cases using element locators and Selenium WebDriver commands.
- Enhancing test cases using Java programming and JUnit/TestNG annotations.
- Organizing and monitoring the defect management process.
- Handling changes and conducting regression testing.
- Finding solutions for object identification issues and error handling issues.
- Coordinating with test team members and the development team to resolve issues.
- Interacting with client-side personnel to solve issues and update status.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java and Selenium.
- Experience with API automation using RestAssured.
- Knowledge of programming script languages such as Java and VBScript.
- Experience in framework design implementation.
- Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Jenkins integration.
- Strong analytical skills for business requirements and test strategy development.
