About the position

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a passionate, results-driven QA/Automation Tester to deliver innovative, industry-leading testing and automated testing solutions for our Corporate Trust applications. We are looking for a creative, highly motivated tester who can take initiative, has a good sense of urgency, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment supporting our Corporate Trust teams. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, install databases, and collaborate with the engineering team. Key responsibilities shall include but not be limited to possessing advanced programming skills while working in one or many automation harness solutions. You will meet with the software design team to discuss baseline and functional changes, identify software application weaknesses and target areas, and sketch out ideas for automated software test procedures. Additionally, you will review software bug reports and highlight problem areas, participate in sprint design and demo practices, write automation scripts, and implement software applications. Designing and installing software databases, troubleshooting automation software, and finalizing system procedures will also be part of your duties. You will identify quality issues and create test reports while collaborating with the design team to solve application faults.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field
  • 3+ years working as a QA automation engineer
  • Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases
  • Familiarity with programming script languages including Java and VBScript
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good project management skills
