About the position

As a QA Automation Testing Engineer at UBS, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building attractive digital products and services that enhance the client experience. Your primary responsibility will be to create comprehensive test plans and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our digital offerings. You will apply a wide range of software testing engineering practices, from analyzing user needs to implementing automated testing methodologies within an agile framework. This role is crucial in ensuring that our solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements, adhering to our digital principles while maintaining security and compliance standards. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team that operates within an agile model, where crews are aligned to larger products and services that fulfill client needs. You will specifically focus on the Advisory Portfolio Management business area, which encompasses portfolio management, model management, trading, and reconciliation. Your contributions will not only improve the technology services we provide but also enhance the overall engineering culture within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive test plans for digital products and services.
  • Execute automated tests to ensure quality and reliability of solutions.
  • Apply software testing engineering practices from user needs analysis to automated testing.
  • Ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Advocate for client needs and represent them in testing processes.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and contribute to the engineering culture.
  • Assist in hiring processes and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree focusing on wealth management or equivalent experience.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar QA automation role within the finance sector, particularly in wealth or asset management.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing and presentation abilities.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Deep understanding of test automation, including unit testing, functional and non-functional testing, and performance testing.
  • Interest in learning new technologies and practices, with a focus on long-term sustainability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agile methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with various testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of financial services and wealth management industry standards.
