About the position

The Quality Assurance Compliance Engineer will work within the quality assurance department to ensure that products meet environmental standards and are free from hazardous materials. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including management, legal, production, engineering, and supply chain, to manage compliance and risk, as well as to implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures product and engineering compliance by developing and executing conflict minerals free supply-chain programs and completing documentation.
  • Conducts responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) as defined in the SEC's conflict minerals rule.
  • Prevents compliance issues by collaborating with engineering and design teams, reviewing design data, and developing compliance policies.
  • Researches and identifies applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards such as EU RoHS/REACH declaration and codes of conduct.
  • Develops compliance plans by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying compliance engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria.
  • Attains compliance by isolating and resolving compliance issues, recommending product and process changes, and initiating engineering change orders.
  • Documents compliance by completing approval applications, recording test results, preparing investigative reports, and maintaining a compliance database.
  • Prepares compliance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing measurement data and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a Compliance Engineering role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent documentation skills.
  • Critical thinking, data analytics skills, and knowledge of statistical software.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodology and algorithms.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with computer-aided related software, e.g., SAP, MS-Office, MATLAB, Oracle PLM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry-specific knowledge in telecommunications, data center, or manufacturing can be highly beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and a good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
