About the position

The QA Compliance Engineer will be a key member of the Quality Assurance team, focusing on maintaining and expanding Halal and Kosher certifications for Amway's Nutrition and Beauty product lines. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external certifying agencies to ensure compliance with certification requirements, providing critical insights and guidance, and proactively addressing potential certification challenges. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence three days a week, and plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth of Amway's global product portfolio by ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external certifying agencies regarding Halal and Kosher certifications.
  • Ensure adherence to certification requirements and provide guidance on compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and external suppliers to resolve certification-related issues.
  • Anticipate potential certification challenges and advocate for early resolution.
  • Manage and participate in cross-functional efforts to ensure high-quality, certified products reach customers in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in 3rd party certifications, auditing, and/or Quality Assurance in the CPG, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in supporting audits, problem solving, and/or product development.
  • Experience conducting facility audits to assess compliance with religious and safety standards.
  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Chemistry, Government Relations, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in or supporting a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with quality standards related to organic, Halal, Kosher, NSF, vegan, and/or non-GMO project verification.
  • Experience with data analysis and regulation interpretation.
