The Jr. Automation QA Tester role in Cupertino focuses on ensuring the quality and robustness of products through thorough manual testing across various hardware and software platforms. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can execute structured testing, manage device availability, and collaborate with team members to enhance product quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute structured manual verification testing to ensure the quality, stability, and functionality of products.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and usability issues through exploratory and ad-hoc testing approaches.
• Maintain and manage a diverse array of products, including MacBooks, iPads, and Watch OS devices, ensuring efficient device availability for testing purposes.
• Perform rigorous testing on new features to ensure reliability, consistency, and compatibility across various devices.
• Work closely with developers, designers, and other QA team members to identify potential risks and advocate for improvements in product quality.

Requirements

• Proficiency in manual testing processes and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of structural data collection.
• Familiarity with Python and Bash scripting to automate routine tasks or streamline testing workflows.
• Experience with tools like Tableau and Panda to visualize and analyze test data for informed decision-making.
• Comfort working with older hardware and operating systems, identifying issues and ensuring usability.
• Exceptional observational skills to identify subtle issues and ensure a seamless user experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tableau for data visualization and analysis.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools like Panda.
