About the position

Nesco has partnered with a growing company looking to add a QA Data Architect/Engineer to its team to help with a special project. This is a contract role for 2-3 months, and it will be 100% remote, starting mid-September. The selected candidate will work closely with the Senior QA Engineer and other team members to refine, automate, and implement QA processes, ensuring that the results can be easily analyzed and shared with business partners. The role involves collaboration with QA, Data, and Analytics teams to capture requirements for QA test cases, as well as designing a system to capture, manage, and display the results of QA tests. Additionally, the candidate will work with data engineers to automate tests and capture results, while also documenting requirements and the resulting solution.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sr QA Engineer and other team members to refine, automate and implement QA processes.
• Collaborate with QA, Data and Analytics teams to capture requirements for QA test cases.
• Design a system to capture, manage and display results of QA tests.
• Work with data engineers to automate tests and capture results.
• Document requirements and resulting solution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Math or equivalent education and experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience including test automation.
• Demonstrated ability to execute complex research assignments, including critical thinking, logical and comprehensive problem analysis and resolution.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Testmo or other test management platforms.
• Experience delivering QA data through MS Power BI or other BI/analytical tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues.
• Excellent business analysis and technical documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ETL tool(s), preferably SSIS.
• Familiarity with MS Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience with MS Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of retail/customer data.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
