About the position

The QA Engineer position is a long-term contract role based in Colorado Springs, CO, with a hybrid work model that requires candidates to be onsite three days a week and allows for remote work two days a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, particularly in writing test cases and working within Agile/Scrum methodologies. This role is primarily focused on manual testing, with approximately 70% of the work being manual and 30% automation. The QA Engineer will be involved in a brand new project, which means that the initial phase will require more manual testing as the automation processes are not yet established. As a QA Engineer, the individual will be responsible for creating tests to identify any issues with the software before it is launched. This includes identifying and analyzing bugs during testing and documenting the findings meticulously. Attention to detail is crucial, as the QA Engineer will also coach team members on managing testing tools, reporting results, and driving process improvements. A typical workday will involve developing new tests, executing them, and documenting the results. If defects are found, the QA Engineer will collaborate with software developers to address and patch the issues, followed by re-testing to ensure that the defects have been resolved and no new bugs have been introduced. Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience, with hands-on expertise in JavaScript and Selenium, particularly using WebDriver. A solid background in UI testing of web applications is essential, along with familiarity with Agile methodologies. Responsibilities
