About the position

As a QA engineer at Apple, you will be part of the team responsible for the Beta Software Program, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of Apple's software products. Your primary focus will be on testing customer-facing applications and internal tools across all OS platforms, ensuring high quality during the release cycle, particularly in early beta stages where user feedback is vital.

Responsibilities

  • Build detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and user needs.
  • Execute all types of tests (e.g., functional, integration, manual) on a scheduled basis.
  • Create, schedule, and track results of automated tests.
  • Track and manage bugs through the software development lifecycle.
  • Track and report on quality assurance metrics and testing activities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Ability to explain usage patterns concepts succinctly and clearly.
  • B.S. degree, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Close attention to detail and a passion for quality customer experience.
  • Comfortable working with diverse engineering teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks; continuous integration is a plus.
