About the position

The QA Engineer for Customer Feedback will be part of the team responsible for Apple's Beta Software Program, focusing on collecting and analyzing user feedback on beta software updates and major OS releases. This role involves testing customer-facing applications and internal tools across all OS platforms, ensuring high quality during the release cycle, particularly in early beta stages.

Responsibilities

  • Build detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and user needs.
  • Execute all types of tests (e.g., functional, integration, manual) on a scheduled basis.
  • Create, schedule, and track results of automated tests.
  • Track and manage bugs through the software development lifecycle.
  • Track and report on quality assurance metrics and testing activities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Ability to explain usage patterns concepts succinctly and clearly.
  • B.S. degree, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Close attention to detail and a passion for quality customer experience.
  • Comfortable working with diverse engineering teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks; continuous integration is a plus.
