About the position

Everi is seeking a QA Engineer II to join their Game Development and QA team in Austin, Texas. This role involves collaborating with developers and production teams to identify risks, assist in testing, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The QA Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, managing bug reports, and maintaining the Jira database, all while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Developers and Production during development to identify areas of risk/concern.
  • Assist with prototype testing and embedded testing.
  • Create and execute test plans.
  • Communicate with compliance for regulatory concerns.
  • Write and manage bug reports.
  • Keep the Jira database clean and up to date.
  • Recreate product environments, report testing results, and recommend changes.
  • Provide project support, including troubleshooting, defect identification, and enhancements.
  • Comply with change processes required by regulatory entities, providing documented evidence of testing and results.
  • Participate in development analysis and planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a quality assurance or software development role; industry experience preferred.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Unity experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical background and communication skills with multiple teams.
  • Experience in a build and release environment.
  • Experience developing test cases based on requirements and specifications.
  • Experience with software testing and project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to identify roadblocks and risks.
  • Ability to communicate accurate and timely status reports and testing results.
  • Ability to independently execute assigned tasks.
