About the position

The QA Engineer II position at Esri is designed for driven engineers or computer scientists who are passionate about quality assurance. The role focuses on developing innovative techniques, tools, and processes to test cross-platform software, ensuring that the software is optimized for users. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and developing test harnesses for over 25 products, contributing to the overall quality and usability of the software.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test harnesses, web apps, and web pages
• Execute both manual and automated test cases, analyze test results to determine pass/fail status, and report results in a consistent manner
• Manage Jenkins instance
• Create and manage Pipeline Jobs in Jenkins
• Script workflows using Groovy and Bash scripts
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems

Requirements

• Familiarity with Linux environment
• 2+ years of software testing experience with Python, C#
• Demonstrated experience with software quality assurance testing, Microsoft Windows and web computing frameworks, Python, C#, Java
• Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced work environment
• Self-motivated and have an interest in continuous learning
• Bachelor's in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Linux environment

• Previous work experience within a fast-paced software development environment
