About the position

The QA Engineer II at ICE Mortgage Technology is responsible for automating tests to ensure the operability and dependencies between new and existing systems in the mortgage industry. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated tests, as well as performing manual tests to verify code integrity within an Agile work environment. The engineer will collaborate with Product, Business Analysts, and Development teams to enhance software quality and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Create and perform manual tests to verify the integrity of the code base.
  • Author and maintain automated test cases for ICE Mortgage Technology products, specifically Simplifile components and features.
  • Write and maintain manual test cases prior to automation.
  • Handle moderately complex projects and assignments related to automation.
  • Test both API and UI components of the products.
  • Write Integration and UI level tests.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues related to automation.
  • Participate in planning bug fixes, features, and enhancements.
  • Set and guide work objectives and project goals.
  • Work in a flexible, agile development environment with rapid release cycles.

Requirements

  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent from a fully-accredited college or university desired.
  • 3+ years' experience in Quality Assurance Automation.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
  • Passion for QA and writing code.
  • Good working knowledge of modern QA principles and methodologies.
  • Skilled in Java or JavaScript programming languages.
  • Experience with MySQL or MongoDB database languages.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Codecept/Puppeteer, TestNG, Postman/man, Selenium.

  • Non-degree programming certificates and relevant work experience considered on a case by case basis.
  • Ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively.
