About the position

The QA Engineer III is responsible for testing all software product changes, ensuring that products meet the desired quality standards. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong technical and problem-solving skills. The engineer will contribute to continuous process improvement and maintain effective communication within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Test all software product changes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to communicate testing status.
  • Maintain test scenarios and test cases, identifying areas for automation.
  • Perform test planning activities and create/modify automated test cases.
  • Execute test cases and record results in Zephyr/HP ALM.
  • Identify and manage software defects in Zephyr/HP ALM, determining defect severity.
  • Work with agile teams to communicate defect information and retest resolved issues.
  • Demonstrate test execution and results to stakeholders and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • 7-9 years of software testing experience.
  • Excellent understanding of software quality assurance testing concepts and practices.
  • Thorough understanding of agile product model principles and practices.
  • Experience with multiple testing tools including Groovy ReadyAPI/SOAP UI and SmartBear TestEngine.
  • Solid understanding of testing practices involving FileTransfer systems.
  • Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL for querying databases.
  • Experience with Windows, Web Application, and/or Web Service environments.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar agile tools.
  • Experience using Jenkins and other CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of UI testing using Cypress and Test Coverage tools.
  • Knowledge of performance testing and tools like Load Runner and LoadUI.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to mentor other QA engineers.
  • Experience building automation scripts using automation frameworks.
