About the position

The QA Engineer III is responsible for overseeing the creation of robust test plans and implementing test execution strategies for device-integrated software and wireless protocols. This role is critical in ensuring product quality and reliability through comprehensive testing and analysis, driving defect resolution, and optimizing performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of products focusing on performance, stability, and user acceptance.
• Develop and execute meticulous test cases based on technical specifications.
• Design and document robust test architecture for complex testbeds.
• Perform rigorous device-level feature testing in lab and field environments.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve defects.
• Collaborate with development teams and external vendors for defect reproduction and resolution.
• Prepare detailed test reports documenting results and recommendations.
• Track and manage issues and tasks using project management tools.
• Evaluate software readiness for production and provide sign-off for release.
• Explore and implement test automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine QA processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or JUnit.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Experience in testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing methodologies and tools.
