This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills while exploring potential career paths. You will work closely with talented engineers globally and have the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors. Your primary focus will be on improving the quality and stability of social features in TikTok, which includes building smooth workflows, implementing various testing methods, and utilizing testing frameworks and tools. As a QA engineer intern, you will collaborate with both Frontend and Backend engineering teams to deliver new social feature products from end to end. You will be responsible for building API test harnesses and improving API test coverage, as well as contributing to the development of quality tools for social feature products. This internship program runs for 12 weeks, starting in May/June 2025, and successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the specified start dates. Responsibilities
- Work with Frontend and Backend engineering teams on social new feature products.
- Deliver product/technical features from end to end.
- Build API test harness and improve API test coverage.
- Contribute to building quality tools for social feature products.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Familiar with Java/Python/Objective-C/Golang, with experience in related project development.
- Fluent in Python.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025.
Nice-to-haves
- Good understanding of RPC/REST API web services.
- Good understanding of software development cycle, and software quality and testing.
- Experienced in automation testing framework.
- Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
