About the position

The QA Engineer IV is responsible for testing all software product changes, ensuring that products meet the desired quality standards. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, strong technical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous process improvement. The position requires effective communication and teamwork, as well as the ability to mentor others and lead a QA team.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Solve problems efficiently and work well under pressure.
  • Adapt to changes quickly and influence others to improve processes.
  • Lead a QA team and mentor junior team members.
  • Maintain knowledge of business applications for the products being tested.
  • Follow corporate software testing standards and keep stakeholders updated on testing status.
  • Create testing strategies, including test scenarios and test cases.
  • Perform test planning activities and modify test cases as needed.
  • Create and modify automated and performance test scripts.
  • Execute test cases and record results in the defect management system.
  • Identify software defects and manage them in the defect management system.
  • Determine defect severity and communicate defect information to the Agile team.
  • Retest defects once resolved and provide root cause documentation to software engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of software testing experience.
  • Fluent understanding of agile quality assurance principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise using SQL and SQL tools for database queries.
  • Experience with AS400, Windows, Web Applications, and Web Service environments.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar agile tools.
  • Proficiency with multiple testing tools including HP ALM, HP UFT, HP LoadRunner, Selenium, and SOAP UI.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cypress, Selenium, HP LoadRunner, and ReadyAPI.
  • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub actions and ArgoCD.
