About the position

The QA Engineering Lead at Meta is responsible for ensuring product quality across various Meta products. This role involves defining test strategies, improving testing efficiency, and leading quality assurance efforts to deliver high-quality features. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams to leverage automation and develop scalable solutions, ultimately enhancing the end-to-end experience for users.

Responsibilities

  • Build a quality-driven engineering culture to ship products rapidly and confidently.
  • Drive quality for products/features, assess risks, and ensure high-quality feature launches.
  • Plan, develop, and execute test strategies across core Meta products and platforms.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts aligned with product objectives and develop scalable solutions.
  • Solve cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute creative ideas to improve quality.
  • Implement and evolve QA processes to obtain effective test signals and scale testing efforts across multiple products.
  • Define quality metrics and implement measurements to assess test effectiveness and overall product quality.
  • Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions and ensure product reliability.

Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • 5+ years of quality assurance and test engineering experience.
  • Experience in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++, or equivalent coding language.
  • Experience in testing and debugging web or mobile applications.
  • Organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking experience.
  • Hands-on experience with test planning, design, execution, performance and stress testing, and maintaining quality test automation.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks.

  • Experience in managing black box and white box testing.
  • Experience working with medium to large engineering teams.
  • Creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
