About the position

The client is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in .NET and SQL to join their team. This position is hybrid from day one, allowing for a flexible work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into testable components. A profound understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly Agile methodologies, is essential for this role. The candidate will work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that quality metrics are met and that testing processes are efficient and effective. In this role, the Senior QA Automation Engineer will design and develop comprehensive test plans to ensure that all requirements are covered. They will execute both manual and automated tests, meticulously identifying and documenting defects. The candidate should possess competence in black-box testing methodologies and have the ability to understand process flows to define testing steps accordingly. Regular communication regarding testing progress, issues, and quality metrics will be required, utilizing tools such as JIRA for defect tracking and monitoring resolution. The position also involves organizing and documenting detailed test scenarios, ensuring thorough testing of every aspect of a product or service. Collaboration within the team is emphasized, and familiarity with tools such as Confluence and SharePoint is beneficial. The candidate should be proficient in ASP.NET, .NET, C#, and have experience with MS SQL Server, including writing complex SQL queries and understanding stored procedures. Knowledge of DB2 and LoadRunner for automation testing is preferred, along with experience using tools like Postman, Selenium, Cucumber, and SoapUI.

Requirements

  • Competency in MS SQL Server, including the ability to write complex SQL queries and comprehend stored procedures.
