About the position

The Software Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for ensuring high-quality outcomes throughout the software development process by conducting thorough testing of software programs to meet company standards. This role involves evaluating, generating, and maintaining test plans and procedures, as well as participating in product design reviews and defect tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and perform manual functional, regression, and integrated testing against new or modified software programs.
  • Write, revise, and verify test plans and test procedures for program defect identification and product feature evaluations.
  • Evaluate, generate, execute, and maintain a full active test library with test scenarios to ensure requirements coverage and regression coverage.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements and usability.
  • Identify, report, and track product defects and address the need for additional product functionality.
  • Prepare and/or review end user and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide estimation of tasks and ensure on-time delivery against stated schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of technology and software quality assurance standards and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to logically identify issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret business requirements and write test specifications and plans.
  • Strong detail-oriented skills to produce quality test cases and documentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with structured delivery processes.
  • Experience with full lifecycle development and Agile methods.
  • Experience in working with web-based, pc-based, and mobile applications.
  • At least 1 year of experience writing manual test cases and test plans.
  • Knowledge of test automation and its maintenance needs.
