About the position

The QA Engineer will be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve business problems within a collaborative environment at a Fortune 500 transportation company. This role involves participating in all phases of the development process, advocating for agile methodologies and test-driven development, and enhancing the codebase through the use of object-oriented development tools.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the development process from inception through transition.
• Advocate for the agile process and test-driven development.
• Analyze, model, design, construct, and test reusable objects using object-oriented development tools.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for software applications.
• Conduct end-to-end integration testing between multiple independent systems and interfaces.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of databases and datastores.
• Utilize Azure Data services and Data stores to test data integration and migration processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of products.
• Manage user stories within an Agile software development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, or related field or equivalent experience/training.
• 2 years of relevant system development experience.
• 2 years of experience working with data quality testing, testable requirements, and continuous integration.
• 2 years of experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of systems flows engineering documentation, tools, and architecture concepts.
• Understanding of business systems and industry requirements, and full technical knowledge of systems analysis.
• Proficient in technical documentation.

• 5 years of relevant system development experience.
