About the position

The QA Engineer at TEKsystems is responsible for ensuring the quality of software releases through effective testing methodologies and automation techniques. This role requires a results-oriented individual with a strong background in both manual and automated testing, particularly in an Agile environment. The engineer will collaborate with clients and internal teams to manage expectations and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation tests using Java and Selenium.
• Perform UI Testing, Automated Testing, and Behavior Driven Development strategies.
• Test and automate REST APIs and Web Services.
• Adapt to a rapidly evolving environment and work in Agile development and continuous integration settings.
• Facilitate key QA methodologies, processes, and metrics standards to improve release quality.
• Conduct cross-browser testing, compatibility testing, and mobile device testing.
• Utilize QA tools such as ALM and Jira for tracking and reporting.
• Lead and coach team members in QA best practices and methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in software QA engineering.
• Proven experience with various testing techniques including UI Testing and Automated Testing.
• Strong expertise in automation and backend testing.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML, SOAP/XML, and SQL.
• Extensive experience with QA tools and methodologies.
• Experience with In-Sprint Automation and Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Chrome Dev tools, UNIX command, and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development.
• Experience building automated tests for Salesforce using open source testing tools like Selenium and Playwright.
