About the position

We are looking for a Mid-Level Software QA Engineer who is a self-starter and passionate about ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, experience in automation, and a keen eye for detail. As a key member of our QA team, you will work closely with developers and product managers to identify issues, develop test plans, and execute tests to ensure the highest level of quality for our products. Responsibilities

• Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software products
• Design and implement automated tests to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency
• Perform manual and mobile testing as needed to validate software functionality, usability, and performance
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on testability and quality aspects
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance
• Adapt quickly to changing project priorities, timelines, and requirements, and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Requirements

• Must be based in the US, ideally in the DFW area
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in various testing methodologies
• Ability to write automated tests using tools like Cypress
• Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, etc.
• Basic understanding of SQL for database testing
• Knowledge of web and mobile technologies
• Experience with Agile/Scrum
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to analyze requirements and troubleshoot
• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends
