About the position

The QA Engineer position is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of software products through rigorous testing and automation. This role involves working with various testing tools and frameworks to validate web applications, particularly in the context of news websites and subscription products, while also focusing on SEO, ads, and streaming media content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance testing for software applications, focusing on news websites and subscription products.
• Implement and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, and Junit.
• Perform performance testing to measure server and client-side metrics.
• Utilize version control systems (GIT) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins) for efficient software development processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects in software applications.
• Document testing processes and results using test management tools like TestRail.

Requirements

• B.S. degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
• Experience in software engineering with a focus on quality engineering (QE) testing.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Experience implementing automation frameworks for testing.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools to measure metrics.
• Experience with version control (GIT), SQL, CI/CD tools (Jenkins), and build tools (Maven, ANT).
• Knowledge of debugging tools (Charles/Fiddler) and monitoring tools (New Relic).
• Experience with Agile management tools (JIRA) and test management tools (TestRail).
• Any certification related to QE, process, automation, or performance testing.
