About the position

The QA Engineer will lead manual testing efforts and support test-driven development to achieve Continuous Testing objectives within a Scrum environment. This role focuses on ensuring quality delivery, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs through the development and enforcement of testing policies and standards. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to drive quality engineering from inception to production, utilizing cloud-native applications and modern technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, enhance, and test application frameworks of moderate to high complexity.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data, system, and software issues in the production environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain manual test case frameworks and tools for a hybrid environment.
  • Transition manual testing efforts to automation to achieve Continuous Testing objectives.
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams in Scrum to meet Continuous Testing objectives.
  • Lead and define the automation execution strategy and provide visibility on progress.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in test automation, test management, and bug tracking tools and processes.
  • 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, particularly in automating test cases.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Proficiency in Selenium, Java, Automation, Cloud, CI/CD, Agile, API Testing, and JavaScript.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with proprietary automation software such as Attlq.
  • Understanding of RDBMS concepts and ability to develop SQL queries/scripts and stored procedures.
