About the position

As a QA Automation Engineer at Amadeus, you will be integral to the software development lifecycle, ensuring the quality of software applications through comprehensive test strategies and automation testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts, to design, review, and execute tests, while also mentoring peers and contributing to continuous improvement in quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Attend specification and architecture reviews, providing feedback on potential impacts, risks, and gaps.
• Define test strategy and test plans, ensuring traceability with specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance of test strategy with CI/CD guidelines and quality standards.
• Design test cases and write test scripts, preparing test environments and executing tests.
• Provide sign-off on tested features based on defined exit criteria.
• Continuously assess and update test cases in the regression and CI/CD pipeline.
• Investigate PTRs and test fixes as part of maintenance activities.
• Assess the necessity to automate test scripts and contribute to the test automation framework.
• Open defects for software or documentation, assigning severity levels and providing investigation details.
• Report and communicate test activities to stakeholders, providing visibility on testing milestones.
• Mentor newcomers and provide support to QA peers based on experience.
• Share knowledge on specific topics within the QA community and other stakeholders.
• Propagate quality assurance best practices across teams and communities.
• Efficiently use QA tooling and frameworks, proposing improvements or new developments.
• Drive proposals to improve quality processes in a constantly evolving development lifecycle framework.
• Participate in understanding and reducing the environmental impact of tested applications.

Requirements

• Experience in QA automation and testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and QA best practices.
• Ability to design and execute comprehensive test strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
• Proficient in defect management and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of Green IT guidelines and environmental impact assessment.
