About the position

The Kewaunee Project is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) professional to support various activities within the Site Quality Assurance organization. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including internal and supplier oversight, audits and assessments, maintenance of QA implementing procedures, procurement support, inspection planning, and the execution of Quality Control (QC) inspections. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that project QA plans are effectively executed and that quality controls are in place throughout the project lifecycle. In this position, you will perform independent QA assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the controls outlined in the project QA plans. You will also provide oversight for supplier activities on-site, ensuring that all work meets the required quality standards. Additionally, you will support the development, review, revision, and approval of quality-related procedures, ensuring that procurement documents specify appropriate quality controls. Your responsibilities will include planning and conducting Quality Control inspections, such as Receipt Inspections, and reviewing Corrective Action Program (CAP) elements and products. This includes conducting cause analyses, developing plans, and verifying and validating corrective actions. You will be expected to maintain and enhance your knowledge of quality methods and techniques, including relevant regulations such as 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 71. Furthermore, you will support management and staff with QA services, ensuring that all project personnel understand the quality requirements applicable to their work. You will also be responsible for developing and providing training on QA-related topics and assisting in resolving any quality-related issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform independent QA assessments/audits to ensure project QA plans are properly executed and evaluate the effectiveness of controls in these plans.
  • Provide supplier oversight for on-site work activities.
  • Support the development, review, revision, and approval of quality-related procedures as requested.
  • Review procurement documents to ensure appropriate quality controls are specified.
  • Plan and perform Quality Control inspections, including Receipt Inspections.
  • Review CAP elements/products, including cause analyses, plan development, and corrective action verification/validation.
  • Maintain knowledge and qualifications on quality methods and techniques, including relevant regulations.
  • Support management and staff with QA services as requested.
  • Ensure Project staff understand quality requirements and their application to work.
  • Develop and provide training on QA-related topics and assist in resolving quality-related problems.
