About the position

As a QA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to identify and address potential issues and areas for improvement in our product before they reach our users. This role is crucial in establishing and leading QA processes, ensuring that our product is thoroughly tested both prior to and following its release across various platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including QA, Engineering, and Product, to uphold the highest quality standards for our products. Your expertise will help shape the testing strategy and ensure that all aspects of the product meet the required quality benchmarks. In this position, you will immerse yourself in understanding the product and its design, allowing you to create comprehensive test cases that reflect end-user scenarios. You will serve as the key point of contact for all QA-related aspects of product releases, coordinating resources effectively to ensure smooth testing processes. Your role will also involve active participation in testing and troubleshooting, where you will write detailed test cases that outline specific testing steps. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will engage with team members daily, sharing information and updates with all relevant parties. You will be responsible for establishing and evolving formal QA processes, overseeing all QA aspects, including metrics, best practices, and process optimization. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Learning the product and understanding the design of features to create appropriate test cases, particularly end-user scenarios.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases and coordinating resources effectively.
  • Participating in testing and troubleshooting of the product, and writing test cases with detailed test steps.
  • Collaborating with team members daily and distributing information to all appropriate parties.
  • Establishing and evolving formal QA processes, overseeing all aspects of QA including metrics, best practices, and optimizing processes.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Chinese, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Work experience in an IT company and professional experience in QA testing.
  • Familiarity with testing processes and bug tracking management.
  • Programming experience.
